Mo Rodriguez Cruz, Co- Founder & Field Director

Mo Rodriguez Cruz, 25, is a Brown, queer, abolitionist organizer and college mentor, currently living and organizing in his adopted hometown Chattanooga, TN. During his “free” time, Mo loves to watch TV and movies, listen to music, talk about drag and video games, collect vinyl records, run, eat at new restaurants, and spend time with his friends, dog, and family.

Clara Cruz, Co-Founder & Programming Director

Clara is from Mexico City, Mexico, a proud chilanga, is a mom of 3, a wife, immigrant, and lifelong learner and education advocate. During the day, she works hard at the same company she’s been at for over 17 years. In the evenings, not only does she juggle the daily responsibilities of motherhood and family life, but she spends her time working for the community. While Clara loves watching TV and movies, what she loves most is seeing her children become advocates for a better world and community.

I’m a Chattanooga, TN native who loves the art scene, cooking, summer weather and a great movie. I also love progressive change. I continue to look to be a part of that every day and moment I’m able to work with Semillas. Nice to meet you!

I am a first generation Mexican American trying to make a change in my community! I work full time at Mexi-Wing VII where I am able to connect with community members on a daily basis.
